The Ramset RAM 1000 DC features a continuous duty, direct drive motor; this powerful and reliable workhorse handles slide gates up to 45 ft and 3000 lbs. The gate opener features a 24 VDC brushless DC motor. The RAM-1000 is equipped with a gearbox lubricated in an oil bath for smooth and whisper-quiet operation. Another convenience this gate opener offers is its foot release pedal, which allows for easy manual operation of the gate if there is a power outage. With the RAM 1000 DC battery backup system, when the battery reaches 90% of its life, it switches to Ultra Low Battery Mode to prevent damage to the gate opener. The opener has a right/left switch to make it easy to change the direction of the installation. The RAM 1000 DC is designed to last with its high-impact resistant charcoal gray polyethylene plastic cover and the 1/4" gold-plated steel chassis, which reduces corrosion.
