Ramset All-Secure Rail Drive Slide Gate Operators: Heavy-Duty Gate Automation for High-Security Sites

When building a slide gate for an industrial facility, it can be difficult to find one that's efficient, cost effective, and will actually last through the harsh conditions of a place such as a correctional facility, airport, government building, manufacturing facility, or utility plant. Ramset offers a number of excellent swing, slide, and overhead operators, but for the toughest, most secure slide gate builds, we recommend the Ramset All-Secure series.

The All-Secure Product Lineup

The All-Secure slide gate opener is Ramset's heaviest-duty rail drive slide gate operator. These operators are built for gates up to 8,000 lbs with no maximum gate length, making them ideal openers for the largest, heaviest gates for high-security areas. Made in the USA, All-Secure openers can be fitted to nearly any gate installation either new or retrofit, come with a 7 year warranty, and some even include a photo eye kit to ensure UL325 compliance! These operators are made specifically for commercial and industrial facilities, ideally where higher traffic occurs or where hightened security is needed.

  • Correctional facilities: Fail-secure options, extreme weight capacity
  • Airports / high-security sites: Continuous duty cycle, infinite gate length
  • Industrial / high-traffic commercial: 8,000 lb capacity, no chain maintenance

Safety and Compliance

While All-Secure operators are easy to use and can be installed yourself, professional installation is strongly recommended by trained gate technicians only. This is due to the nature of these operators being used in high security areas with extremely heavy doors, so to ensure safety it's best to leave it to the pros. As far as ETL and UL 325 compliance goes, each of these operators is ETL listed and is UL certified for classes I, II, III, IV when used with at least two entrapment devices. These accessory pairings include: photo eyes, loop detectors, smart-home relay compatibility. For additional information on safety standards, check out our safety standards guide below.

  • ETL Listed / UL 325 certified (Classes I, II, III, IV)
  • All models include some type of power failure release: Hand Lever, Foot Pedal, or Battery Backup
  • Requires external entrapment protection - a minimum of two entrapment devices (e.g., photo eyes, loop detectors)

FAQs

What's the maximum gate weight and length for the All-Secure?

Each Ramset All-Secure models can operate gates up to 8,000lbs with no maximum gate size. This makes them ideal for long industrial gates.

Does the All-Secure work during a power outage?

Without a battery backup, no, the All-Secure will not function during a power outage. However, your gate will not be stuck as each model includes some kind of power failure release, allowing you to open your gate manually.

Is the rail included with the operator?

No, to avoid shipping damage the rails are not included with All-Secure operators. We recommend sourcing slide gate rails locally, with the contractor who is building your gate is ideal.

What's the difference between the electro-mechanical and brushless motors?

Electro-mechanical motors (brushed DC motors) use a series of carbon brushes and a mechanical commutator to switch electrical currents. Brushless motors use a series of sensors or back-EMF tracking. Generally brushless motors run more efficiently and last longer but tend to be more expensive. Both are excellent options, it depends on your needs for which is best for you.

What warranty comes with the All-Secure?

All Ramset operators come with 2 different warranties of the 3 that are available. There is a 3-year warranty for all control boards, and either a 10-year warranty for residential operators or a 7-year warranty for commercial operators such as the All-Secure
